When Sleep Slips Away

Every night, I’d lie awake listening to Debbie stop breathing — eighty times an hour. You can’t sleep when you’re counting seconds between breaths. I was scared. Helpless. Just waiting for her next breath to come.
Awake but Exhausted - When treatment brings its own challenges.
When Debbie started CPAP therapy, we thought the nightmare was over. But the mask leaked, the noise was constant, and it left her skin red and sore. She’d rip it off in frustration and cry. We were both exhausted — awake, but never rested. A life half‑awake.
Faith and Ingenuity
When prayer turned into purpose.
I asked the doctor if there was something to make the mask more comfortable — to stop the air leaks. He told me it didn’t exist. That didn’t sit right with me. I’m a builder — I fix things. For weeks, I prayed for an answer, asking God to show me how to help my wife rest. Then one night, God’s idea came to me to make something soft to fit between the mask and her skin — and that small piece of fabric changed everything. That spark became RemZzzs®.

The first night Debbie used it, she slept through till morning. She didn’t move once. When Bob saw her lying so still, he panicked — he ran around the bed and shook her, terrified something was wrong. She opened her eyes and said, “What’s wrong? I was finally in REM sleep.” It was the first time in years she dreamed — in living color — and she woke up rested and full of energy again. That’s what real rest gives back — your life.
With her CPAP finally comfortable, Debbie could sleep deeply. She found the energy to work each day, serve in her church, and live fully again.
